Coffee Noob | Bibigo | Star Awards 2015 - My Personal Top 8

It's exam period again............

I'm not so into cafe hopping anymore because it is so expensive! (ps. I am learning to be more thrifty now)

But it's really nice to study in cafes because of the aircon, nice drinks, desserts and food. It's like all in one you know. Hahaha.

So last Saturday Esther and I went to Suntec to study again. No more Beanstro, now its CBTL.

But anyway, Beanstro is by The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf so I don't really know whats the difference except for the name. Is it more expensive? I think so? I forgot the price hahaha.

Our order of the day: Tiramisu cake & Matcha Green Tea Ice Blended

The Green Tea ice blended is damn nice. But S$8..... But so nice.

I am not good with coffees, never truly able to differentiate all the different kinda coffees.

So every time I go to a cafe, I always do not really know what to order.

Therefore, whenever I go to Starbucks, its always Java Chip.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Green Tea ice blended. No headache.

Now I learned a little from experience of helping my manager buy Kopi. Lol

Dinner time at Bibigo

Not bad you can order the Bibimbap and request for Vegetarian sauce which Esther did.

But the girl who took our order seems to be very tired or I don't know what, she kept rushing us and didn't even smile at all. Previously another girl told us a few dishes that can be served vegetarian, but when we order, that waitress said only the Bibimbap. & although we requested for no onions, the Bibimbap came with onions... Obviously she wasn't concentrating when taking our orders.

Mine is Black Rice + Bulgogi + Kohot sauce

Esther's, Black Rice + Tofu + Vegetarian Sauce

& btw, the clear beansprout soup is very nice!

E love it, made her less frustrated about the onions which she took damn long picking out hahaha.

OH YAY. Avengers date with CL yesterday! It's so awesome :D
We headed to Cineleisure straight after work and because we were afraid the waiting time for food would be too long, we went for Nihon Mura. No waiting required! Just grab from the conveyor belt!
My love for sushi will never die hehehehehhehehehehe...

Always so good to see all the awesome heroes together.

I love the twins' abilities too. Wish I have them man! hahaha~

This afternoon, we went to The Commerze again. This time trying another cafe. There are a few newly open cafes now which we have not tried. 

Today, we went to CarolMel for a Birthday treat for Pauline.

I love the cafe design, especially the brick walls. 

 

We ordered a Lunch set which cost us S$9.90 (Consists of 4 choices of mains + Soup of the day or Ice Lemon Tea)

The soup is quite diluted though. I can't believe its S$4 on its own.

The Salted Coffee Caramel ice cream is YUMS. I love it!!!

Overall the food there is pretty good :)

except for the soup. haha but definitely worth going!

At first I thought that it's Caramel Cafe when I pass by last time.

Now I know, it's Carol Mel Cafe!

We had the Boss Carol served us and got to know that Mel, is her sister Melissa.

Interesting cafe name. I like it haha.

Just now met up with Sean and CL for dinner, some catching up and window-shopping.

Had sushi feast again!! This time at Sushi Express and I ate the most la! LOL.

FAVOURITE.

So CL and mine added up to 21 plates and the girl at the counter read it as 4. WHAT?! We were too shocked to react, if not will just go along with the mistake. Therefore, honesty as an excuse, we paid for 21 plates. It really looks like 4 though.

Last Thursday I had a date with CL in town and had my craving finally satisfied.

We sat there for around two hours stuffing ourselves with food heheheh.

Followed by a little shopping at H&M.

Over the weekend, I was catching up on Tiger Mum on Toggle. It was pretty addictive that I stayed up super late to finish till the latest episode.

& on Sunday, I caught Miss Korea both season one (I'm Mae) and two (Julia&Jojo) on Youtube.

The girls were hilarious hahaha I wish I'm in Korea right now~

Kay Lee Roast Meat Joint

Quack quack quack! I just had my lunch at Kay Lee Roast Meat Joint just now, the one that's sold for $4million. They are famous for their Roast Duck but I seldom order that because it's expensive. Kay Lee is just walking distance from my office and we used to go there once in a while.

Last time there was always long queue and we had to leave early for lunch to get seats. The service wasn't too good though, because they were short-handed. I think there was only the lady boss chopping the meat and maybe just one or two helpers to serve and clear the dishes. So we will seldom see smiles on their faces and get rushed when we were slow in deciding or ordering. They used to sell Char Siew Chicken and I would always order it. It's like a special because not many people actually know about Char Siew Chicken. Anyway, they stopped selling after.. maybe when they got famous for selling the recipe at a hefty price. I was kinda disappointed.

& today, we decided to give the new Kay Lee a chance. There was no queue and many seats available.

I tried my luck asking if they have Char Siew Chicken and they said they do..

So I ordered Char Siew Chicken with Roast Pork. Then they say... S$10. What.The.Heck....

Apparently it's S$10 for three meat combination. 3 for $10~ 3 for $10~ Sound like a sale sia.

They thought I'm ordering Char Siew + Chicken + Roast Pork -_-

Aih, so there is actually no Char Siew Chicken.... I told them I don't want the chicken, now it cost $5. Still feel it's too pricey.

They have raised all the prices so high. My colleague ordered Char Siew rice - S$5, Salted Vegetable Duck Soup - $4.50

We used to always order Salted Vegetable duck soup there at S$3.50 and it was good. Today it's pretty bad, too salty.

There was like more than 5 people working, & not much customers. Last time 3 handled so many! Why do they need so many people when its more quiet now? lol..

Last night I cooked this Abalone noodles that Daddy bought. There is abalone in it!

Haha it's not bad I love the herbs smell! Fast fast three minutes done :P

Musee | Itacho Sushi | Erabelle

Zombie Monday again.

Yesterday early afternoon I headed for my IPL appointment at Bugis+ Musee. The gel is still freaking cold but I braved through it. Hahaha.
Anyway Musee now have promotion for unlimited hair removal sessions for both underarms and bikini line at S$38. I feel it is super worth lah, even though I've never checked elsewhere whether they have better deals lol.
I was first intro-ed to Musee by Esther and went for consultation before signing for the unlimited underarms session, it was I think S$38 or S$48 I can't remember. But the package was only for underarms. Now it is for underarms AND bikini line!
After one or two session I decided to take up the full body package, I think for 8 sessions, $4K+ by installment. Musee do not do hard-selling, which is awesomeee~ It was me who queried and Fiza attended to me, I think she's really sweet and nice hahaha but we can't really choose who to do the treatment for us. Or maybe we can, I don't know.
So now I am feeling.... less hairy. hahahhahhaha.

The process for underarm treatment is really fast, like done in 10 minutes or so.
Full body treatment is two attending to one and takes about 2.5 to 3 hours.

After Musee I had my late lunch at Itacho Sushi. Cravings satisfied hehehehe

On the same day I had made an appointment with Erabelle for eyebrow touch up but it was in the evening..
So I got my laptop prepared and sat myself in Starbucks working on my assignment.

It's my last session of touch up at Erabelle, because I decided to save money and just draw myself lah lol. Previously eyebrow trimming at Erabelle was S$29 per session and I thought it was really expensive.
I had gotten myself a package for 13 sessions for I forgotten how much but it was definitely cheaper than 29. So now I have used up all 13 sessions and thought of continuing but guess what, they stop selling eyebrow trimming package! Boohoo~ Furthermore, they have raised the price to S$50 per session!! WTF crazy!!! I am pretty upset with the price now so mmm... shall learn and practice trimming my brows myself hahaha. Winnie (my Erabelle consultant) was really nice, she showed and told me what kind of trimming tools to get when I told her my difficulties with trimming my own brows.

Ahhh okay anyway, I am super duper drowsy right now. Thanks to assignment again. No idea why I always do freaking slow as compared to Esther & LS. We are all last minute warriors but some times, even when I am the first to start off with the assignment, I would still end up being the last one to complete. Wlao ~_~
So last night again, I burned the midnight oil and ended up sleeping at 6am. Woke up at 7am.
& during that one hour of sleep, I actually dreamed of being strangled by a ghost. What the heck.
I can't believe I actually manage to wake up.
