Chinese New Year 初一

CNY didn't feel like CNY this year. Or at least I'm not getting the mood.
Woke up feeling like shit cuz of flu didn't feel like going to bai nian at all but that's impossible. I don't know why I have to fall sick every month now before period. Since when have I become so weak? Sigh. Plus the cramps it'd been quite a shitty day having to keep smiling and say nice words, no cursing. Oh so tiring~

The only happy time is when I'm watching or playing with the kids. Lost in blackjack as well and I'm cashless now.

Had to end it worse at the end of the day.. I have communication problem with my dad... sigh. Seriously I don't wanna say, but is it that hard to give responses?.. Everytime when I talk to him I'm like talking to the wall! Don't know what he's thinking....

World of dependence

Sometimes, or in fact most of the time we depend too much on others. When we don't know something, we just give the excuse "I don't know ma" when it's actually so easy to ask or just search online. Worse when it comes with instruction and you claim you don't know without even reading.
Have we gotten so lazy to even try to explore and learn on our own instead of waiting for someone to tell us what to do?

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder...

It's frustrating to know how some people can be so shallow to judge people, say they are fake and all. Do they even look at themselves?

If you think wearing make-up or having done plastic surgery is fake, then I guess I'm talking about you.
Seriously what is wrong with wanting to be prettier? If we're born ugly should we just suck thumb and accept fate? There are too many superficial people out there who will call others ugly, disgusting, hideous and such. Is that even fair? What did they do to deserve such treatments?
Nothing. They did nothing. Nobody gets to choose how pretty or ugly to be born.

But with make-up and surgeries, they have a chance. You don't know how it can actually affects someone's life greatly. Maybe before they got rejected from a job for not being presentable enough to meet clients, or perhaps someone they love hurt them with ugly words. Who knows? You can't just judge without knowing the story!

If you do not know anything about make-up or plastic surgery, you shouldn't be criticizing those who put in effort or went through the pain for what they want. Girls who wake up early to doll themselves, to be confident enough to face the harsh world outside, to be able to make their day more beautiful just by feeling pretty.
Perhaps you want to comment that they are stupid to sacrifice sleep for such superficial thing. Hah. It's to tackle you superficial people. & well, we can say you are stupid to sacrifice sleep to play games. It's a waste of time and blablablabla~
Don't have to argue with me on this point because it's pointless. We can never understand each other's point of view because what is important to you may not be the same as what is important to us, & vice versa. Therefore, there is no rightful place for you to judge.

Please, who wouldn't like to be pretty naturally. Save us more sleep, and from pain or whatever.
& yes, money. How much to actually spend to be pretty. Cosmetics cost don't know how many bombs seriously. Or okay, let's say the girls who look naturally pretty. Do you even know how much they spend to maintain? Maybe some don't need much. but well mostly does. Facial, hair treatments / coloring, spa, manicure, work-outs, skin care, fragrance etc etc...
You didn't go through all of these, they are not important to you because you do not see 'behind the scene'. All you see is the outcome and go gaga.

The saying 世上只有懒女人 没有丑女人 (There are no ugly women, only lazy ones).
but somehow, even those diligent ones get to be called fake. What a world to live in.

Photos of plastic surgeries before and after, videos of Photoshop-ing covers and clips are often posted and shared around. Some people see ugliness in the editing, they feel cheated. but what I see is the amazing skills of the plastic surgeons and photos/ video editors. They are the ones who create dreams and miracles for others, make someone who think that they are not beautiful have a second thought "oh, I can be pretty too".. No, actually you've always been.

Don't let others bring you down anymore.

On My Own

on replay~~~
On my own
Pretending he's beside me
All alone,
I walk with him 'til morning
Without him,
I feel his arms around me
And when I lose my way I close my eyes
And he has found me

In the rain, the pavement shines like silver
All the lights are misty in the river
In the darkness, the trees are full of starlight
And all I see is him and me forever and forever

And I know it's only in my mind
That I'm talking to myself and not to him
And although I know that he is blind
Still I say, there's a way for us

Movies?

Hi, just checking out Now Showing on movie list and realized I've actually watched so many of them, but didn't felt like I did haha.

I'm too lazy and not good in giving reviews though.

Watched The Hobbit 2 in Bangkok Siam Paragon, awesome experience!
We watched it in freaking 4D yo~
but actually I haven't even watched the first one at all so was a little confused.

FROZEN! So nice and christmassy.
I love Christmas season movies! Love Disney movies!

Police Story with awesome Jackie Chan.
Not too much action but I thought it was still good :)

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty was quite interesting.
How many of us would actually be courageous enough to get out of our comfort zone to step into adventure?

47 Ronin.
Its just funny that this was filmed in Japan, they had mostly Japanese in the show (except for the main lead)
but all of them speaks in English. Haha

American Hustle. Love the cast, but cannot understand the movie.
Is it just me?

BAD GRANDPA. Haha just for laughs!
They basically just pranked everyone!!

I seriously cannot understand how Devil's Due gets to blockbuster. It freaking sucks.
& I almost paid a $13 ticket because Cathay sells blockbuster movies more expensive.
This is shit!! It's a good thing I changed to a cheaper theatre.
I watched it simply because I kinda like watching pregnancy. lol.
but damn, probably my last time watching a found footage movie.
Half way through I felt nauseous already.

This may be random, but I thought the difference with Asian and Western horror movies.

Most of the Chinese, Korean, or Japanese horror movies, they have a deeper story behind them. Like a 'moral of the story' kinda thing... Either the ghosts or the victims learned their lesson in the end, somehow. More meaningful in a way.

However for Western horror movies (or at least those that I have watched), they were mostly random and... the encounters were just out of bad luck. There is no explanation to your 'suayness', you are just unlucky to turned in the wrong turn, moved in the wrong house, or the devils/spirits probably just draw lots to possess you. It's more of just making awareness of devils' existence and sharing of their encounters.

Not saying which is better or whatever, just stating the differences.
I don't know, maybe I'm wrong. After all I haven't really watched a lot of them.

Bangkok [First few days of 2014]

Altitude Countdown 2014 was at Imperial Queen's park hotel rooftop.

We went too early to wait for countdown, got tired and kinda lost mood already.
Furthermore we headed off straight after the fireworks to avoid the queues and taxi jam, thus not much partying.. Hmm. Nevertheless still welcomed the new year :)

Next morning couldn't wake up for Hotel buffet breakfast so we had it at A&W.
Not very awesome :/

This was my lunch, some spicy mixed vegetable soup.
Too spicy for me ):

Green curry rice

& our dinner at Sunrise Tacos!

Mexican food! Yummeh yummeh!

Cheese!*

Next day went to Terminal21 at Sukhumvit.
Super cool shopping mall with an airport theme.
9levels different country each! Cool or what ;)

Jangjang my favourite.. Onigiri ^_^

Just a random scooter...

Remember to visit every level of their toilets! Haha!
All of them decorated super exquisitely.

Arrived at Mr. Jones' Orphanage... but it was closed ):
Due to New Year day. Damn~~~

Walked past a nice dessert cafe..

& went to the Japanese Street and found MisoYa!

Ramen love

They were very nice to open level2 for us and we had the whole floor to ourselves hehe.

Tasty teriyaki chicken steak!

Our next station, ASIATIQUE

So we had an hour of super shiok foot massage before exploring
since most of the shops open in the evening.

Sunset ^_^

So cool blogspot helped me sparkle my photos haha!
I just realized this feature, slow or what? Don't even know when they had it.

Tadah- Asiatique ferries wheel!

Asiatique view from top of ferries wheel.

Our dinner at Capri-

Then we took a free boat to..... I forgot where.

Blingbling! After arrival, cabbed to Huai Khwang for a short walk.
Didn't stay long because I was soooooo tired! & my contact lens fell off too @_@

Next day.. Time to check out ):

Had our last meal in Bangkok at Jeffer Steak @ Pantip plaza

Their pepper pork is nice and juicy!

There was quite a lot of choices on the menu but when ordering, most were unavailable!
How saddening...

Anyway, Ray introduced this Hokkaido melt me chocolate.
SO GOOD!

It's just funny that we kept eating other countries' food even though we were in Thailand.
Hahaha I have no idea why...

Byebye Bangkok~

Love my travel kakis :)
